Updated 1/28/03: Webcomic features comic #4

Webcomic is up, now featuring four comics. Look forward to a better layout for it in the near future. The strip will be updated every month or so, so be sure to stop back often!

Hey! I'm Amethist, aka Fire-Breathing Gummy of Death. A long time ago, I wrote some Sailor Moon fanfiction and got recognition on the net for a fanfic I co-wrote with Lianne called, "The Wacky Adventures of Psycho Setsuna" (or "WAPS"). You can get the text files at my other webpage, Amethist's Crystal House, which will be updated before hell freezes over. After my several-year dance with the fanfiction community, I wasn't very active on the net as I found a new interest in making comics (and the new satanic creation commonly known as "the college workload"). I've spent about five years drawing to develop a style that is aesthetically pleasing and accurately portrays my message, so you're getting high-quality stuff here. I've been working for quite some time writing and designing for my latest project, which is simply going by the title "Orpheus" as of now. Info and character profiles will be up shortly.

This page is definitely in its very early stages, so I apologize for the lack of content. While I plan on "Orpheus" most likely appearing on the printed page, that won't keep me from doing webcomics for Sleep is for the Weak--see the 4-panel on the Comics page for a sample. I specialize in anime-style art and am becoming more and more comfortable with computer coloring and effects (since I'm a full-time Graphic Design student at RIT, the computer and I are handcuff buddies nowadays). I'll also be open for commissions work soon, boys and girls. Before too long you'll have the opportunity to sample my goods.

My art and I were also at Otakon 2002, where I'm sure I met some of you--I was usually in Artist's Alley selling bookmarks or at the Tokyopop stand giving out free stuff (I worked for them this year). Face description? I've always looked a lot like Hotaru Tomoe AKA Sailor Saturn from Sailor Moon, and I have the tendency to carry giant weapons of mass destruction around with me like she does, so I'd say she's a pretty close match.

If you'd like to contact me you can e-mail me at amethisttomoe@yahoo.com. Visit this page frequently as I'll update frequently. See you soon!
